Spa and COVID-19 Policies

At Charles McKnight Skin Spa, we have set out to bring you an environment where the highest levels of skin care is provided to nurture the well being of mind, body and spirit. Charles McKnight is able to tailor each treatment to any individual's own needs.

It is our goal to make a difference in the lives we touch by offering the highest level of service in the most relaxing environment for our clients.





In order to ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. 

Cancellation Policies and Fees:
Your spa treatments are reserved especially for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the spa's scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. 

Any cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment are subject to a cancelation fee equal to 50% of the missed appointment rate. We recognize the time of our clients is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. If charged, this fee will be collected at your next appointment. To avoid a cancellation fee, please give us at least 24 hour notice if you need to cancel an appointment. When you schedule your appointment with us, you are agreeing to these policies.

Upon checkout, guests may choose their method of payment. We accept cash (no change available), Venmo, and credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express). 

Cell Phones:
We kindly ask that you turn your cell phones to vibrate upon arrival and to remember to speak in your very soft spa voice once you enter the spa. Please inform Charles McKnight should you need to make a phone call so that you may do so without disturbing other guests. Cell phone use may affect the length of your spa services.

Check In:
We ask that you please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the necessary intake paperwork. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. However, the length of service may be adjusted so as to not interrupt the scheduled appointments of other guests. Full price of scheduled services will apply, so please plan accordingly. 

Arriving Late:
If you are late to your session you are welcome to receive whatever time is left in your appointment. Due to our tightly booked schedule, we are generally unable to extend your session beyond your original appointment time. Regardless of the length of the service actually given, you will be responsible for payment of the full service you scheduled.

Personal Belongings:
Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home. Charles McKnight Spa is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend guidelines such as social distancing, using hand sanitizer, washing hands frequently and mask wearing. Charles McKnight, LLC has put in place preventative measures according to the County of Los Angeles Public Health Order to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, Charles McKnight, LLC cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, having a treatment at Charles McKnight, LLC could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

At this time, we are only offering appointments to fully COVID-19 vaccinated clients.

• Everyone working in the building is fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• We are, temporarily, not using steam in skin treatment procedures.
• The Skin Spa is equipped with a HEPA filter Air Purifier with UV-C feature for killing harmful germs and viruses. The Air Purifier combines True HEPA filtration to remove up to 99. 97% of airborne allergens down to 0. 3 microns in size, Advanced Carbon Filter to adsorb odors and gases, and Patented TiO2 Media + UV Light to attack viruses, bacteria, harmful gases and VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) that True HEPA filters cannot capture. 
• Intensive pre- and post-treatment sanitization and disinfection (tools, equipment, and surface area; towels and linens are immediately removed and washed in the hot sanitation setting of the wash).
• If you can touch it, we’ve sanitized it with hospital grade EPA-certified disinfectants. This includes but is not limited to doorknobs, countertops, light switches, tools, facial bed, etc.
• Everyone working in the building (and guests, except during treatment) will wear masks at all times.
• Charles will be wearing a N95 mask while performing skin treatments.
• We appreciate your understanding and support. Every change we have administered have all been for your safety and well-being.

• Please wear a mask over your nose and mouth at all times inside the building, except during treatment. A clean surgical mask will be provided to you after treatment.
• Please bring your Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Photo ID with you to your first appointment so that we can document your dates of vaccination.

Show a hardcopy or photo of one of the following: 

CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (White Card)
World Health Organization (WHO) Vaccine Record Card (Yellow Card)
California Immunization Registry (CAIR2) Vaccination Record


Show a digital vaccination record issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)

• Please read and sign a COVID Release Form when you arrive.
• If you have had any symptoms such as a cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever or chills, or if you are under isolation orders, please reschedule your appointment.
• If you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days and currently under quarantine orders, please reschedule your appointment.
• If you have been in contact with anyone with a known COVID-19 case, please reschedule your appointment.
• If you are showing ANY signs of being sick (cold, cough, or even allergies) please reschedule your appointment.
